Layered Turtle Cookies

I apologize for the tardiness of this post. I had a wee bit of a personal issue on Friday (fender bender) and was unable to get this fabulous recipe posted for y'all.

I will preface this by saying that this was a complete experiment. It's nothing fancy, but I just played around with a few things and came up with it. It's so good that I'm making a batch for my kids' teachers. These, my friends, are called Layered Turtle Cookies.

Ingredients:

Pretzels

Chocolate chip cookie dough

Rolos

Chopped pecans

Place a couple pretzels in the bottom of a muffin tin. I found that one whole and one broken pretzel is the perfect base. Place a dollop of cookie dough over the pretzels. Top with a Rolo and slightly push it all together. Sprinkle the tops with chopped pecans. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes. Keep an eye on them though. I didn't notice the exact timing, I just watched them.

These are so good, y'all. Chocolate, caramel, sweet, salty. So good. Make them now... and then bring them to my office.
