Capes are the best, aren't they? I know my kids go from "regular citizens" to "heroes of the city" the second the velcro clasps around their necks. The are instantly faster, stronger, braver, cooler.

This costume is so simple.
For my costume, you'll need tulle, a crochet headband, yellow grosgrain ribbon, and a cape.
I made a basic solid black tutu dress. I didn't even take pictures of the process because there is nothing fancy about it. (Also, black tulle on a black crochet headband doesn't photograph well!) You can see step by step instructions on this post.
If you aren't into making tutus, you can grab a black pettiskirt and romper. That would make an adorable costume too!
I crafted a mask out of felt and a satin elastic headband. You can always print and trace a mask if you don't have much artistic ability. I just asked my coworker to draw it for me!
